Receiving Treatment During COVID-19
Traditional Chinese Medicine in Eugene, Oregon

Dear Patients, Friends, and Colleagues,

First and foremost, I understand the depths of concern that you feel for your personnel health and safety during this stressful time.  My office has adopted stringent protocols for COVID-19 safety in order to protect your health and my own.

As the understanding of COVID-19 continues to develop, the standards of safety expected of my office by the Oregon Health Authority, Center for Disease Control, and the American Acupuncture Council will continue to evolve.  That being said, stringent and rigorous safety practices are in effect currently.

All patients are subject to prescreening including :
1) Signing a COVID-19 Informed Consent to Treat document,
2) Having your temperature checked,
3) Responding to a verbal questionnaire about recent travel, exposure, and signs and symptoms known to possibly indicate COVID-19.  If you have traveled out of the country, or domestically within the United States by commercial airline, bus or train within 14 days prior to your visit, you will have to reschedule your appointment.

Patients will be scheduled so that there is a 30 minute break between patient visits.  This allows for thorough disinfection with a Hospital Grade Disinfectant that requires time to air dry.  This is the best way to keep you safe.  So please, don’t come early to your appointment.  I can no longer allow patients to spend time in the waiting area.

Adult patients must attend their appointment alone, unless they require assistance.  If an adult patient or a minor patient requires physical assistance from a family member or companion, the attending person must respond to the verbal questionnaire and have their temperature checked as well.

Patients will be required to wash their hands in the bathrooms directly across the hall from my office before entering.  I will leave my office door propped open so that you can enter my office without touching any surfaces.  If my door is shut, please knock and I will open it for you.  Patients will then pass thru the waiting area and directly into the treatment room.

FACEMASKS ARE MANDATORY!  Please wear your own.  Cloth, droplet (surgical) masks, or high grade N95 masks are ok.  I have a limited supply of masks, so please be considerate of my limited stores and bring your own.

Patients presenting with mild symptoms that might be COVID-19, including fever, dry cough, shortness of breath, deep fatigue, runny nose, loss of taste or sense of smell, or sore throat will be encouraged to reschedule and contact their medical doctors for further guidance.

As I previously stated, these protocols will mostly likely be added to as time goes on and more is understood about this virus.

Please feel free to contact me prior to your scheduled appointment to discuss any questions that you may have about receiving safe and effective acupuncture and Chinese Medical treatment during COVID-19.

Yours,

Heidi

Acupuncture Treatment During Covid-19 Pandemic
In a day of less-than-satisfying health care and service, Heidi’s refreshing personality and focused individual attention are a rare and welcome find. I began seeing Heidi in Denver after an extreme health issue nearly took my life. I had been referred to several highly trained physicians with decades of experience who then referred me to the Mayo clinic. While all of this medical testing and expertise were both very necessary, they yielded no results and no diagnosis. As preventive medicine is my best option, I started seeing Heidi at her Castle Rock clinic. I now drive 4 hours over the pass to Grand Junction for treatments because I am not willing to let go of the level of service Heidi provides. She cares for her clients and takes her professional obligations to the fullest extent. Clients who choose Heidi will be better for it.
