Whether you’re a morning person, a night owl, it’s likely that you experience times of day when your energy peaks and you feel fantastic and productive. It’s also likely that you experience periods of low energy. However, if you feel that you are constantly plagued by low energy to the point of exhaustion or fatigue, there are some simple steps that you can take to rebalance your body and your life.

  1. Evaluate your relationship with water. Simple dehydration can result in feelings of fatigue. Remember your body is 70% water and to work at maximum capacity, fluids must be continually replaced. This is best done by drinking water. Plain simple water lubricates the joints, internal organs, and musculature.
  2. Take a walk. Extended periods of inactivity can result in feelings of low energy. If you spend much of your day sitting, take a break every hour and move. A brisk 10 minute walk will increase circulation, get the kinks out, and help you feel revitalized.
  3. Consult with your acupuncturist. If your days are dominated by feelings of fatigue, it is possible that an energy imbalance is the cause. Acupuncture is a powerful tool for accessing and optimizing the body’s energy. Acupuncture treatment coupled with lifestyle and dietary changes can regulate the body’s energy so that you have all the energy you need for the active healthy lifestyle you want.

If fatigue is interfering with your ability to live the life you want, make a change.
