I first saw Heidi as a patient in 2005, after I had stopped sleeping. I literally slept no more than an hour or two a night. My nervous system was a complete wreck. I was taking Ambien, however all it did was make me feel foggy in the morning. I don’t think it helped me sleep at all. Heidi treated me with acupuncture and gave me a Chinese herbal formula. Over the next few days, my sleep time gradually increased. After about fourteen days, I was sleeping about 5 hours a night. I continued to see Heidi for several more weeks, and now I get 8 hours of sound, restful sleep every night without using Ambien.
